Por fin llegó el 12 de Octubre del 2.007 y lo cierto es que llega con esperanza.

Han pasado 2 años ya, 2 años de aquel concierto en Argentina con el que nos despedíamos sin saber si volveríamos a pisar un escenario como Ska-p, 2 años y sin embargo vosotr@s seguís ahí, entrando en la web como si nunca hubiésemos parado, contándome muchas movidas sobre vuestras vidas, sobre injusticias político-sociales y sobre todo preguntando cuando será el regreso a los escenarios, creo que no ha pasado ni un día desde ese 12 de Octubre del 2.005 sin que recibiese un e-mail haciéndome esa pregunta. Quiero daros las gracias a tod@s desde lo mas profundo de mi corazón, porque han sido correos impresionantes, tristes, alegres, pero sobre todo mostrando un cariño incondicional. MIL GRACIAS COMPAÑER@S.

Hace unos días estuve viendo ese último concierto que dimos en Buenos Aires, y viendo la entrega de la peña de Argentina, se me hizo un nudo en el estómago, de golpe me entraron unas ganas tremendas de volver a sentir aquello, ese amasijo de nervios que se intensifican cuando sales al escenario y ves que hay una conexión con tu gente tan fuerte que sientes una energía especial, todos como una piña hacemos un solo ser, miles de almas en perfecta armonía, cantando y bailando con los dientes apretados.

Así que os comunico que he establecido contacto con mis compañeros para (sin ningún compromiso) volvamos a hacer algunos ensayos a partir de Enero del 2.008, volver a tocar el viejo repertorio y a ver que pasa. Tiene que haber magia, buen rollo y muchas ganas.

Esto no significa nada, puede que funcione, o puede que no, pero lo vamos a intentar, así que a lo largo del próximo año, mas bien a final de año puede haber nuevo disco, insisto, si todo va bien.

Os estaréis preguntando si estaremos todos los miembros de Ska-p o no, pues sinceramente, no lo sé aun.

Así que, como os hemos prometido, sois los primeros en enteraros.

EL AÑO QUE VIENE VAMOS A INTENTARLO. Si cuajase todo, creo que a principios de año daremos la noticia de la vuelta definitiva.

Me gustaría añadir algo importante, muchos de vosotr@s pensáis que me llevo mal con algunos de mis compañeros, bueno hemos tenido nuestros roces, pero os aseguro que yo tengo buen rollo con todos, con algunos mas que con otros, pero eso es algo muy normal.

Os seguiré informando de todo lo que ocurra, aquí en noticias.

Announcement from the Band

2007-10-12

12 of October arrived full of expectations.

It's been two years now, two years since that farewell gig in Argentina. We didn't know if we'd get back on stage together as Ska-p. Two years. But you guys are still there, visiting our web site as if we had kept going, talking about all sorts of things in your lives, issues of political injustice and, above all, asking us when we're getting back on stage. I don't think a day has gone by without email on that subject. I want to thank everyone of you from the bottom of my heart, the emails have been incredible, sad, happy, but above all heartfelt. A HUGE THANKS TO ALL!

A few days ago I was watching that last gig in Argentina and saw how our fans down there just put their everything into it. I got knots in my stomach, suddenly I felt I was going to barf, it was that sensation, that nervousness you feel before you go on stage and you feel a special energy. Every single one of us was a single being, thousands of souls in perfect harmony, singing and dancing gritting their teeth.

So, I want to tell you all that I've touched base with my pals to rehearse without any preconditions starting Janaury 2008. We'll play old stuff and see what happens. It'll have to be a happening and enthusiastic thing.

This doesn't mean it'll work, it might, it might not, but we'll try it out. Sometime next year there might be a new record, but only if things work out.

You'll probably be asking yourselves if all the original members will be in the group. I don't know.

So, as I promised, you're the first to know.

NEXT YEAR WE'RE GONNA TRY. If things work out, I think we'll pass the news on at the beginning of the new year.

I want to add one more important thing. Lot's of you think I don't get along with my partners. We've had our issues, but I get along with everyone of them, some better than others, but that's the way it always is.

I'll keep you in the loop on what happens right here.
